In Part I of “Real Estate Investing 101: Just Do It!” we covered topics meant to help you get going in your real estate investing life.

A quick review…

In the first installment we covered the first 2 of the 4 questions you should ask yourself to become the doer you need to be as an entrepreneur and real estate investor:

  • What have I done to get where I am today?
  • What do I need to do to get where I want to be?
  • How do I continue on that path and build my business?
  • How do I serve more people?

In this installment we’ll quickly cover the last 2 questions, starting with…

How do you continue on your path and build your business?

You’re in the real estate investing business, which means you will continue to take actions that will help you build out what you are doing so you can do more and more.

That’s what makes real estate investing so exciting!

You’re always learning and doing… and trying new things.

In the beginning, when you’re just starting out, you will wear different hats. You will handle the different parts of your business and you’ll be just fine. If you’re like us, over time you will start expanding.

But don’t worry about that right now. We’ll be here every step of the way!

We can help you understand all the parts of what you’re doing. It’s why we enjoy our lives in real estate so much. We get to work with people like you… helping them do and grow.

When it comes time to build out your team, we have you covered there, too. But that’s down the road a piece. Just concentrate on the here and now for today!

You know… while we do a lot of the work at REI Wealth Academy ourselves, we also outsource where we can and where it makes sense. For example, we have a fabulous VA (virtual assistant) who helps us do more than we could ever do on our own. She takes on the administrative and some of the creative tasks. Plus we work with other professionals who take on other parts of what we do.

You will get to that point one day, too, and again… we will be there to help you every step of the way.

The bottom line is that if you want to grow your business you need to get used to the idea that you are not Superman (or Woman). You could use some assistance sometimes.

We just want you to think about it a little for now. Sit down and write out all you do currently in your business. Which tasks might you outsource to other people either on a commission basis or per-hour basis?

Once you know what that looks like, you can play with your budget to see what you can afford to outsource today and what you will work toward outsourcing in the future.

So… how do you serve more people?

At the core of real estate investing, serving others is REALLY what you are doing.

The more properties you get, the more sellers, buyers and backers you talk to, and the more offers you make one thing’s for sure. You’ll be helping more and more people! That’s how you’ll grow your business, too.

What we’re saying is that as a real estate entrepreneur and investor, you should be serving others through your deals and transactions.

To do that requires you to know WHY you do what you do as an investor and entrepreneur. Once you are clear on your WHY, you can tell everyone you meet what you do and why, which gets them on board with your vision so you can do more deals!

It just takes training to get comfortable in sharing what you do and what you seek as a real estate investor. Then you’ll be chatting with strangers about it in no time. Guess what those strangers might just turn into? That’s right… sellers, buyers and backers!!
